Every camper van needs interior cabinets and a power system - that's why this OurKaravan 80/20 Wheel Well Cabinet is such a great combination, giving you sleek, sturdy cabinets for all your gear and a custom solution tailored for your EcoFlow 5 kWh Power Kit.

EcoFlow introduced van builders to plug-and-play electrical systems, and now Campervan HQ and OurKaravan have teamed up to offer an easy-to-assemble aluminum cabinet kit to house your EcoFlow electrical system.  Constructed from lightweight and strong 80/20 extruded aluminum, the material is pre-cut, milled for fasteners and sent to you complete with all of the hardware required to assemble the cabinet and install an EcoFlow Power Kit inside. The cabinet framing kit sits over the wheel well on all wheelbase variations of the Mercedes Sprinter 2500, and not only securely holds your EcoFlow power kit but also provides an interior storage solution.

The cabinet is easy to assemble with an Allen wrench set, and comes with upper and lower cabinet door tracks to accommodate ¼ inch plywood sliding doors.  Simply cut the doors to fit and insert into the tracks, no additional hardware required.  ¼ inch wooden end caps can be bolted to the threaded sides of the cabinet and your countertop of choice can be added for a personalized look.

FAQ: OurKaravan 80/20 Wheel Well Cabinet

How do I adapt this to my Ford Transit 148" wheelbase van?

With a minor configuration change to the pieces involved with mounting the Power Hub, you can adapt this to a 2015+ Ford Transt 148" wheelbase. More details expected mid-late July 2024. Fits  2015+ Ford Transit 148" EXT and any 2007+ Mercedes Sprinter models with no changes required.

How do wheel well boxes mount?

The wheel well boxes are designed to attach into the van's interior wall and the sub-floor. We recommend using rivet nut inserts for the walls, but self-tapping screws will work for most builds.

How do I apply paint, stain, or sealer?

1. If you plan on painting (the cabinet framing and/or wood panels):

Lightly scuff the areas of the cabinet that you plan on coating with 120-180 grit sandpaper.

Apply 2-3 coats of primer prior to applying your main coat. Note that metal and wood require different types of paint.

Always apply a finish when you're happy with the paint to get a long-lasting appearance.

2. If you plan on staining (wood panels):

Sand the surface on all wood panels with sandpaper parallel to the wood grain.

Apply stain very cautiously to a section of the panels that will not be visible to gauge the volume and pressure you need to achieve the look you want.

Apply stain evenly with a rag, sponge, or spray gun until all surfaces are coated.

Note that overlapping surfaces may make the stain darker on the overlapped areas.

Always apply a finish when you're happy with the stain to get a long lasting appearance.
